The Shift House is a single-family luxury villa located in a residential suburb adjacent to downtown Kuwait City. The geometry of the house was conceived in a way to create a dynamic flow of movement and in response to key views of the downtown skyline.
The client desired a home that blended a minimalistic, architectural style with warm and tactile materials. The house maintains a sense of openness and fluidity through the use of interconnected, indoor and outdoor spaces.
Taking advantage of the rear set-back adjacent to a wide alleyway, the house forms a semi-enclosure around a garden and pool area, designed to provide the maximum amount of sunlight while maintaining visual privacy from adjacent villas.
